Boulder City is the county seat of Boulder County on the Rocky Mountain front range in central Colorado about 25 miles Northwest of Denver.
The "Boulder City Town Company" was founded in February, 1859 and incorporated as "Boulder City" in 1871. Colorado University was opened in September 5, 1877.
