CU Book Store carries textbooks, school supplies, fan gear and general interest books at the University of Colorado.

The college bookstore once had a captive market for textbooks. Fortunately, students can now find new and used textbooks at a variety of online location. For example, textbook rental firms will send you the textbook for a fraction of the new price along with an envelop to send them back.

New technologies might replace textbooks. Forward thinking professors use open source texts, saving students megabucks.

In response to the competition, the CU Bookstore has become much more aggressive in buying back textbooks. The video below discusses the 2011 book buy back. A little bit of competition in the book arena is good for the students.
