As cellular phone companies continue to innovate a jam more features into phones, people will want to upgrade and abandon their older cell phones.
The rapid replacement of technology has been damaging to the environment as the phones (and internal batteries) are quite toxic.
The Wireless Alliance hopes to eleviate problems with disposal of cellular phones by encouraging the re-use and recycling of yesterday's technology.
The site gives you a form that allows you to send used cellular phones (postage free) to the organization.
NOTE: Most places that sell cellular phones are happy to recycle your used phone. If they don't, then don't buy from them.
